There is no doubt about it, Wylie is the premier western singing artist. Why? Maybe, it's because of the way his original music makes you smile, tap your foot and sing along. Or maybe it's the unique skip he puts into his yodel or perhaps the freshness he gives to western music. Maybe, it's because he lives the life he sings or maybe, it's because he's just plain authentic.
“…he represents everything that's great about country music. He's sincere, sturdy, and has an honest-to-God-connection to what he sings about. Wylie loves the rural life, and he takes everything from the sweep of the wind to the trot of a horse and turns it into a real experience for all kinds of folks” Jim Smith, Silver Platters, Seattle,WA.
Wylie says, “To me, western music is more than an old cowboy tune. Western music is a folk song that tells a story and takes you there. It's a western swing song that refuses to let you sit still. It's a yodel tune that makes you happy. Western music is music westerners listen to, dance to, and sing along with. We've been playing to western crowds for quite a while and they have told me what western music is…sometimes by just the smiles on their faces or the tears in their eyes.”
Wylie definitely has his feet on the ground, that is when they're not in the stirrups when he's atop his favorite roping horse, 'Pokey'. He knows where he's going and we're solidly behind him. We're really happy to make Wylie's music available to you.

The Ranch Dance Fiddle • Frankie McWhorter

Ranch Dance Fiddle' width= Frankie McWhorter is a cowboy fiddler and ranch foreman who performed and toured with the Western Swing greats such as the Miller Brothers and Bob Wills. Instrumental accompaniment is provided by former members of the Texas Playboys “It is the music once common at cowboy and ranch dances in the Panhandle and the Llano Estacado. Pioneer musicians honed this Texas brand from Celtic reels, clogs and jigs and popular songs of the times. Tinged with blues and subtle African syncopation, it is a music that speaks of a journey from the British Isles through Appalachia and the American South to a new home in the West.”
